What began as an exciting adventure without fixed expectations has now grown into a successful event: the AYO Festival. Last year, it was a step into the unknown for both the organizers and the participants, but the result was an inspiring and valuable experience.
The festival took place for the first time in September and immediately proved to be a platform where new brands could present themselves to an interested audience. The interaction with visitors was particularly valuable; the positive responses and engagement created a dynamic and energetic atmosphere.
Neither the organizers nor the participants knew exactly what to expect, but the festival exceeded all expectations. The interest was high, the atmosphere was excellent, and the commercial results were strong. This year, the event will be even bigger, with an expanded setup and a more professional presentation.
AYO successfully bridges heritage and innovation. The rise of Indonesian and Moluccan restaurants, fashion, and cultural events shows a growing demand for the reappreciation of tradition—but in a contemporary form. AYO responds to this development by giving authentic products and concepts a modern stage.
In addition to the AYO Festival, several other Indonesian and Moluccan events are scheduled for this year. The growth and success of AYO are increasing its recognition. In the future, an independent AYO Festival could even be a logical next step—this time held indoors at the Central Market Halls. With a broader setup, a more refined selection, and a clear vision for the future, AYO promises to be an impressive event this year. Whether it’s about culture, entrepreneurship, or gastronomy, the festival offers a unique experience where tradition and innovation come together. Fabric Inspired will also be present this year to kick off its new collection.
